The Acratech GP ball head has long been recognized as a leader in its category. The GP even won the coveted "Top Pick" by DP Reviews. Now Acratech is moving forward competitively with its new GXP ball head. The GXP has a wide range of important new features and it continues Acratech's tradition of world-class quality.

Our Acratech GXP ball head is specially designed to work as a leveling ball head, gimbal head and pan head. It's like 3 pieces of gear come together in one beautiful, lightweight unit!

The Gimbal Action will have you shooting the action like a pro. The Gimbal function works with any lens (up to 400mm F4.0) that has a tripod collar. The pin in the bottom of the ball and the sleeve on the shank of the ball is what creates a smooth pivot for the gimbal.

Unscrew the quick release clamp and place it on the bottom of the head and you are now ready to use the GXP ball head to create single row level panoramas. This eliminates the need to carry a separate leveling base in order to create precise stitched panoramas, as you will be able to pan parallel to the horizon even when using your tripod on rocky or rough terrain.

All Acratech ball heads are designed and manufactured to be lightweight for travel photography and tough for active outdoor photographers. The open structure allows moisture, dirt and debris to pass through instead of being trapped in a socket.

Available with our Arca Swiss style quick release clamp, button or locking lever.
