The UniqBall Ball Heads are indeed unique by a particular function which makes it possible to prevent the ball head from tilting to the side when using a telephoto lens. With a normal ball joint, a TV will gently tilt to the side, hence the interest of pendular heads.
With this UniqBall ball head a patented mechanism prevents this tilt. You can also use it with a small focal length to make a vertical shot, therefore in macro or portrait. You can use it with both telephoto lenses and small focal lengths. It also makes it possible to compensate for the inclination of the base of the tripod which would not be perfectly flat in the case of use with a telephoto lens.
Ball joints whose reference ends with an XC have the advantage of placing the housing in both directions, which avoids a rotation of a 1/4 turn of the ball joint before installing the equipment. The trays that are used for a lens are in the X direction (front behind) and the trays that are used for the boxes are in the Y direction (right left)
the X clamp allows you to have these 2 senses.
With the UCPAN accessory you can use this ball joint with a spotting scope which allows you to have 3 uses with a single ball joint whereas normally it would take 3 different ball joints.
