The Tragopan Hokki V4 is a hide specifically designed for wildlife photography from a prone position—whether at ground level or at water level. It is an ideal solution for wetlands, grouse lekking grounds, or any situation where you wish to capture immersive, eye-level images while remaining perfectly concealed within a compact, discreet hide.

The Hokki V4 features large viewing and shooting windows at the front and sides, providing a panoramic 180° field of view. As with other Tragopan hides, every opening is fully customizable using the included lens sleeves and window panels. An integrated canopy overhangs the openings to protect lenses protruding from the hide against rain while making them less visible to birds in flight.

For enhanced comfort, two mesh-equipped vents—located at the rear and on the roof of the main compartment—ensure excellent airflow. They minimize heat buildup and effectively reduce condensation inside the hide. The interior fabric features an opaque, insulating coating that reduces temperature rise in strong sunlight, ensures total darkness to prevent backlighting silhouettes, and helps retain heat during winter. Both the roof and the floor mat are fully waterproof.

Setting up the hide is quick and easy, thanks to the robust hub system used on the Tragopan V7 and Monal V3 models. It features a single door that can be opened and closed from both the inside and outside using high-quality, silent zippers. For enhanced weather protection, an optional, wider rain fly that covers the entire hide is available separately. It improves rain protection while minimizing condensation buildup.
