It was in Canada, in northern Manitoba, that they went, in the winter, for a rare, unique, and intimate experience with the Polar Bears, as the mums came out of their lairs with their young cubs who come into being for the very first time.

Seized on the spot, their images betray an experience and a sense of observation patiently acquired during many naturalistic trips.

At temperatures of -57 °, the photographic conditions were trying.
