The BirdMic Complete Pack is the complete set with a parabolic microphone for enjoying the sounds of nature.

Compact, simple, and affordable. You don't need any additional equipment to enjoy sounds in real time (it's self-powered). It delivers professional results. It's very easy to use, and no previous experience is required. It takes up very little space in your backpack.

This small device is designed to amplify sounds of 1.5 kHz and above (most bird calls and songs), but you can listen to and record all types of sounds (20 Hz - 20 kHz). This complete analog system produces virtually no noise, and you can record audio using your favorite smartphone app or any other device of your choice. It allows you to connect a real-time bird identification app, making it more educational and effective.

BirdMic is also designed to attach to your video camera's hot shoe. You can use it like a regular microphone and it will work perfectly. Plus, you can monitor audio even if you don't have an output port on your camera thanks to its unique audio interface.

The BirdMic interface also offers two sound modulation buttons that can be used independently. This sound will be modified before recording and allows for better results in post-production. You can monitor the sound in real time through headphones.

LOW-FREQUENCY CUT: Activate this button to reduce low-frequency noise such as wind, engines, or roads.

BOOST: Use it to amplify the entire spectrum if the sound is quiet.

It also includes a volume knob that regulates the headphone volume.

Don't forget to add additional headphones and a splitter so you can share the experience in the field and learn together.

Make sure your smartphone has an audio input; If it's an iPhone, you'll likely need an adapter, which is available as an extra. For jack and USB-C inputs, it's included.

Instructions:

Connect the audio interface directly to the satellite dish, without the need for cables (male to female jack). Connect your wired headphones to the interface and you'll be able to hear sounds wherever you point them. If you want to record sounds, connect a smartphone or any other device to the interface's "OUT" port. Use the included mounts to attach the device to the satellite dish for added convenience. Sound quality doesn't depend on the phone's internal microphone. So, use a professional app and the results will be professional too. You can use a sound identification app, and BirdMic will help you focus on a bird and learn faster.

How it works:

BirdMic uses a high-sensitivity omnidirectional microphone located at the focal point of the satellite dish. The outer side of the plate isolates sound coming from the rear and sides. The inner side directs the sound coming from the front towards the focal point. The microphone picks up the direct sound coming from the front, and the rest of the sound bounces off the inner side of the dish. This signal (physically isolated and amplified by the dish) is passed to the audio interface, which amplifies it again and can be modulated (Low Frequency Cut and Boost). The final signal is sent simultaneously to the headphones and the recording device.
