This 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM is the ideal companion for portrait enthusiasts looking for incomparably soft bokeh and exemplary sharpness at all apertures.

The incredible softness of the bokeh (background blur) provided by the 9-blade circular diaphragm of this 85mm will allow you to elegantly isolate your model for remarkably rendered portraits.

Optimized to use full frame sensors, it is also compatible with APS-C sensor bodies from Sony, Pentax, Nikon, SIGMA and Canon. Depending on the coefficient to be added to your digital SLR, the 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM will become a 127.5mm (Factor x1.5) or a 136mm (Factor x1.6) equally suitable for portraiture.

Its HSM focusing is ensured by a beam of ultrasonic waves which guarantee rapid and silent focusing with permanent manual retouching, so that the focus, crucial at F1.8, is always where you have chosen it. .

The molded aspherical lenses that are part of the design of its optical formula guarantee unique sharpness for incredibly sharp images from full aperture. The SLD front lens made of low dispersion glass effectively corrects chromatic aberrations. Finally, super multi layer processing limits the effects of stray light and “flare” to allow images with optimal contrast from F1.8.
