APODEMUS - BatLure Bat Lure:


The BatLure (literally "bat lure") is an ironing device, built to emit sounds up to 100 kHz. Ultrasounds recorded in real time, as well as sounds recorded in time expansion can be played back in real time from an SD card. The device automatically recognizes time-expanding sounds.


The device is robust and works with an SD card and 8 AA batteries.

The BatLure is suitable for:

•      Attracting bats using social calls or sonar to capture them for scientific reasons
•      Draw the attention of bats to potential roosts in order to increase the speed of colonization of new developments, for example nest boxes, new hibernation roosts and new summer and/or breeding roosts
•      Emit bat sounds during training and courses in the use of the ultrasonic detector
•      Test the proper functioning of ultrasonic detectors and automatic recording systems
•      Inventory of mating and courtship roosts by playing the courtship calls of males and listening to the reaction of territorial males
